Quinsigamond Lake Night Photography

I was photographing a wedding reception at the Knights of Columbus on Lake Quinsigamond last weekend and noticed how amazing the soft light was over the lake. I had a break in the party photography so I decided to create some long exposure shots of the lake. The Knights of Columbus facility has this odd industrial style dock extending over the lake that allowed me to create some fun angles in the photographs. I didn't expect any boats to come along but got lucky on my 3rd and 4th exposures with some light movement.

I used a plastic chair as my tripod with 30 second exposures at F/ 6.3 with a Canon 17-35mm lens set at 24mm.
