L'Espalier cuisine @ a stunning wedding

Besides doing a good deal of commercial, landscape and travel work I photograph some amazing weddings. However, I rarely get to photograph really stunning food at most of the weddings I document. This is an example of an exception, which was fantastic because you may know that gourmet work is one of my favorite subjects to work with and capture.
This couple held their stunning wedding at L’Espalier restaurant, one of Boston’s premier dining venues and placed great emphasis on having the food beautifully photographed along with the rest of their amazing day. Chef McClelland produced some fantastic dishes for their event which can be viewed below along with their descriptions.
For ease in photographing the dishes as quickly as possible I set up a table in a side room with soft fill-in light to shoot each of the courses. The cheese images were created as they were presented on the cheese table during cocktail hour.
