Architectural Art Installation at Tasty Burger Back Bay

I have been working with Tasty Burger to make their new Boston location in the Back Bay train station feel more of-the-neighborhood shall we say. They hired me to create images representing the area and gave me free will with any creative whims. I quickly turned to architectural imagery as I explored the train station and the area more; however I wanted them to have a gritty feel to match the neighborhood and the essence of so many pedestrians heading to and from work each day.

So I photographed inside the station and basically within 2 blocks of it. I gained access to a fourteenth flour roof for a few images along with using my Infrared converted 5D MarkII for a few. My processing involved quite a bit of manipulation of texture with OnOne software dialing in my HDR settings and Dynamic Contrast. We chose Matte printing on Metal for easy installation and an industrial effect to the images that we believe really matches the space well.

Come in and check it out at 145 Dartmouth Street, Boston. Have a burger and a shake or sit on the patio and watch rush hour hub-bub.
