Well it was a very windy day for the Boston Marathon but very exciting and the weather held up beautifully for the elite runners if not a little chilly for the 8+minute mile runners. I stayed in the Heartbreak Hill area for all of my photographing and really enjoyed getting to see every group of runners.
This is a very small sample of images from today. I will be uploading all of the images to my SmugMug site as I go through post-production.
And a smattering will be available to view on both my Facebook and Flickr pages.
Robert Cheruiyot of Kenya chasing Deriba Merga of Ethiopia. Cheruiyot went on to win with Merga coming in 3rd.
Mebrahtom Keflezighi of USA climbing Heartbreak Hill, finishing in 5th.
Ryan Hall picking up the pace towards the top of Heartbreak Hill, behind Mebrahtom here, but able to finish in 4th.
Teyba Erkesso leading the Women's Elite up Heartbreak Hill and all the way to the finish line in first place.
Diane Roy of Canada climbing Heartbreak Hill, came in second in the
women's wheelchair devision.
